AGT previously conducted durum wheat breeding for the Australian market through a sub-contract with the University of Adelaide.

AGT now undertakes durum breeding “in-house”, targeting the medium to high rainfall areas of SA and the current durum production areas of northern NSW.

The program also focuses on the introduction and evaluation of germplasm from international sources.
